Bear House Build is a female owned company, with a highly skilled team of builders and roofers.

We aim to deliver the highest level of workmanship and customer satisfaction. Every project we take on (and we take on a lot of projects!) is embraced wholeheartedly and with total dedication. We invest our hearts and souls in making sure that everything is delivered on time and to your complete satisfaction.

Our services include everything from new roofs, roof remedial work, extension foundations and footings (through to finishings). Chimney works, lead works, and to the more decorative features such as fascia, soffit and guttering.

For those who have asked recently-Leaking old concrete guttering to lovely fascia and plastic guttering. Yes it can be done, and if you are semidetached! 😉 expect sore shoulder next day after holding disc cutter for what feels like forever! 😬😮‍💨 We did the porch here too 🥰

One my favourite properties today 🥰 Taking care of this 400 year old chap. Wire brushed all the old oak and replaced old lead above window and coated with black jack. Just needed some TLC today 😉

Stopped squirrel parties today and repointed wall where crumbling and needed attention. Thankfully doing this job we discovered a lot of bricks had just been sat on top of the wall and weren’t secure. So got to secure these in place also. 🐿️🎉🚫

Leak above extension, removed old ridges and cleaned off old tiles, put down new layer of felt and then re-bedded the ridges on new mortar. Thank you to @andersonroofingsupplies for chatting to our Adam while he picked up remix. We got an hour of not being whinged at 😉😂

Taking off old mortar from around flat roof, getting prepped for new mortar and ridges to go back on top after putting down some drips of felt to cover where old felt has got wet and torn. Covering all bases. Flat roof itself in good shape so no point ripping up.

Doing the lead work for project in Newbury, roofers that did the actual roof said they don’t do that kind of work and left site🤷‍♀️. This is why picking the cheapest quote isn’t always the smartest choice. 😉

Please note that the trick or treating element will be held on actual Halloween on the Tuesday due to the fact Fireworks night is on Saturday- so there will be houses decorated but not ready for trick or treaters till Tuesday.

We are really pleased with this result 💪🍾🍾A lovely family in Streatley had their roof trampled on when a velux was fitted and it leaked in their child’s bedroom. On discovering the poor fix, we took away the old batten and felt, installed new joists and rafters, new felt, new batten and the new gradient for the support meant the tiles no longer dipped allowing water ingress and we could put the tiles back correctly. Old roofs like these aren’t always easy but I’m so happy we got a good result for this family. ❤️☀️👌🏼
